Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Charlotte, NC. The RN will coordinate patient care, perform nursing processes, and ensure safety and quality across the perioperative continuum.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure in the state, BLS certification, and prior OR experience. This role supports high-level trauma and transplant services within a Magnet-designated academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Lead with evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and effective communication to create a safe patient environment and optimal patient experience.

Where You Will Work:

CMC serves as the region's only Level 1 trauma center and is an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. We also serve as one of North Carolina's 5 Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine, based in Winston-Salem, NC.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
