Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. The role emphasizes delivering safe, evidence-based perioperative care within established policies and procedures.

You’ll collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and scrub teams to coordinate patient care across the surgical continuum. The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing program completion, an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and OR experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Where You Will Work:

CMC serves as the region's only Level 1 trauma center and is an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. We also serve as one of North Carolina's 5 Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine, based in Winston-Salem, NC.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Previous Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
