Job summary

A Registered Nurse in the Atrium Health Lake Norman Operating Room is sought for a full-time position in Cornelius, NC. The OR team collaborates with surgeons and anesthesiologists to provide high-quality surgical care across specialties.

Expectations include completing an accredited nursing program, holding a state RN license, and BLS certification. One year of OR experience is strongly preferred, with 4x10 hour shifts and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• 1 year of OR experience as a RN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Expectations We’re Looking For

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

1 year of OR experience as a RN strongly preferred
