MedStar Union Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN to join our high‑acuity team. The role requires prior OR experience and will involve scrubbing and circulating across complex cardiovascular cases in a fast-paced cardiac program.

You will work four 10‑hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with on-call and holiday responsibilities. Benefits include generous PTO, healthcare, retirement, and relocation support as applicable.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN/MSN or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers as required.

Responsabilités

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care to patients and families across routine to highly complex needs.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with cardiovascular and vascular team, scrub and circulate a variety of CVOR cases.

Join the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, home to one of the nation's top cardiac programs. This specialized team cares for patients undergoing complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic procedures, providing an exciting opportunity to build advanced perioperative skills in a high-acuity environment.

Our nurses work alongside experienced cardiovascular and vascular surgeons, caring for patients undergoing open heart surgery, vascular procedures, catheter-based valve procedures, thoracic surgeries, and more. Previous OR experience is required, and nurses in this role will scrub and circulate a variety of cardiovascular cases while working as part of a highly collaborative surgical team.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

This position has a hiring range of
