Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking an experienced OR RN to join our orthopedic and emergency general surgery teams in Baltimore. The role includes 40 hours per week with call, offering five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, depending on scheduling needs.

You will care for patients in the Operating Room, support perioperative teams, and participate in fast-paced orthopedic and general case work. Candidates must hold an MD RN license (or Compact State RN) with BLS, and ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 1 year RN experience required; 2 years OR RN experience strongly preferred; Orthopedic OR experience a plus.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN; BLS for Healthcare Providers required; ACLS preferred.

• Provide OR nursing care in orthopedics and emergency general cases.
• Collaborate with the OR team and ensure patient safety and readiness for procedures.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week plus call; five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years of Operating Room (OR) RN experience strongly preferred; Orthopedic OR experience a plus.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). ACLS preferred.
