• Advocate Christ Medical Center (ACMC) in Oak Lawn, Illinois, is aquaternary-level hospital offering a full spectrum of surgical services, from general surgery to highly specialized procedures.

Surgical Services Offered

ACMC’s surgery department provides:

• General surgery (trauma, critical care, minimally invasive)
• Orthopedic surgery
• Urology and urologic robotic surgery
• Neurosurgery
• Cardiothoracic surgery (including heart transplant, ventricular assist device implantation, and robotic mitral-valve repair)
• Vascular surgery
• Oral & maxillofacial surgery
• ENT (ear, nose & throat)
• Plastic surgery
• Minimally invasive urogynecologic surgery
• TheAdvocate Heart Instituteat ACMC is nationally ranked for ventricular assist device (VAD) surgeries and is one of the few centers in Chicago performing video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) for lobectomies, pneumothoraces, and mediastinal tumors.
