Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse (RN II) at Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, ME. A minimum of 1 year of OR experience is required, with scrub capability a plus. CNOR and/or ACLS are desirable; BSN preferred for progression.

This full-time role offers a structured path with automatic advancement from RN I after onboarding. Eligible candidates may receive sign-on bonuses of $10,000 for 1–2 years RN experience and $20,000 for greater than 2 years.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state where practicing is required.
• BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• One year of recent RN experience required; CNOR/ACLS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room setting.
• Assist with patient positioning, scrub assistance, and instrumentation as needed.
• Monitor patient status and communicate pertinent information to the surgical team.
• Oversee surgical personnel in the OR and utilize current OR technology.

The Operating Room at Maine Medical Center – Biddeford is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team.

• A minimum of 1-yearOperating Room experience
• Ability to scrub is a plus
• CNOR and/or ACLS desirable
• Monitor,positionandassistpatient during procedure.
• Communicate all pertinent information with the surgical team continuouslyregardingpatient conditionin order toprovide safe, reliable care.
• Interacting with and overseeing Surgical Technologist and other personnel in the Operating Room
• Use current OR technology and equipment

Summary:

The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
• Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
