One Day Surgery PACU is a fast-paced and rewarding nursing environment that cares for a broad and dynamic surgical population. Our patients include those undergoing GYN, GYN/Oncology, UroGYN, Robotic procedures, General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedic Trauma, Urology, Breast Oncology, Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery, and Pediatrics. This diverse case mix offers an enriching experience for nurses looking to expand their clinical skill set and build a strong foundation in Perianesthesia nursing. Our PACU includes a 14-bay Phase I area and a 13-bay Phase II area. PACU nurses work in both phases, providing immediate post-anesthesia recovery care as well as later-stage preparation for discharge. This integrated model allows nurses to develop a deeper, more comprehensive knowledge of Perianesthesia nursing across the full continuum of care.

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
