Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center One Day Surgery PACU in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time, daytime PACU role. Flat pay range is listed with no call, weekends, or holidays, and a 40-hour week on a M-F day schedule.

This unit handles a broad surgical population with Phase I and II areas and a focus on perianesthesia care. Requirements include an accredited nursing program completion, active RN license in the state, BLS certification, ACLS, and PACU/critical care

Qualifications

Where You Will Work

One Day Surgery PACU is a fast‑paced and rewarding nursing environment that cares for a broad and dynamic surgical population. Our patients include those undergoing GYN, GYN/Oncology, UroGYN, Robotic procedures, General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedic Trauma, Urology, Breast Oncology, Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery, and Pediatrics. This diverse case mix offers an enriching experience for nurses looking to expand their clinical skill set and build a strong foundation in Perianesthesia nursing.

Our PACU includes a 14‑bay Phase I area and a 13‑bay Phase II area. PACU nurses work in both phases, providing immediate post‑anesthesia recovery care as well as later‑stage preparation for discharge. This integrated model allows nurses to develop a deeper, more comprehensive knowledge of Perianesthesia nursing across the full continuum of care.

Enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule (0700–2030) with no call shifts, allowing you to grow your Perianesthesia skills while maintaining balance outside of work.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS required
• At least one year of previous Critical Care, Emergency Department, or PACU experience strongly preferred for this position.

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
