Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center’s 8DE High Risk Postpartum unit seeks a skilled RN for a PRN night shift. The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, and BLS with ACLS/PALS within 6 months. A minimum of 6 months RN experience is expected; inpatient experience is preferred.

The RN will deliver comprehensive care, coordinate nursing activities, and ensure safety and quality across the care continuum in a 18-bed postpartum/GYN setting.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience; not for new graduates.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.
  • At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Schedule Details/Additional Information:

  • PRN Nurse for nightshift from 7p-7a and must work a minimum of 36hrs in a 6-week schedule period, this may include weekends.

Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30

Where You Will Work:

8DE - High Risk Postpartum, is an 18 bed Postpartum/GYN unit. Our nurse-to-patient Ratio is 1:4.5 yet is adjusted based on the level of acuity. Our unit provides obstetrical and Gynecological care to females from adolescence through older adult with multicultural backgrounds. Inpatient care is provided twenty-four hours a day. Care is provided to patients admitted with acute obstetrical and/or surgical conditions. Patient types consist of postpartum mothers with medical complications that require an increased level of care after a vaginal or c-section delivery. Early gestation patients may be admitted to the unit for medical complications. Gynecological diagnoses consist of hysterectomy, exploratory laparotomy, fetal demise, ectopic pregnancies, and post urology procedures.

Expectations We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.
  • At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.
