Job summary

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Worcester, MA team. The role focuses on direct patient care with 12‑hour night shifts and a 36‑hour work week, plus eligibility for a sign‑on bonus.

Ideal candidates are graduates of a state‑approved nursing program, licensed to practice, and CPR certified. This role includes coordinating patient care with senior nursing leadership and ensuring safe, high‑quality care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a state-approved nursing school or accredited program.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state of practice; CPR certification.
• CPR certification required for all RN positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical patient care.
• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care per shift and at the unit level.
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
• Support the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high quality, safe nursing care; maintain staff competency and resource management.
• Provide high-quality, safe total nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the nursing process.
• Direct care according to safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Perform and fulfill Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies.
• Be knowledgeable of hospital emergency codes and adhere to policies.
• Perform related duties as required.

Compensation

Up to $12,500 sign‑on bonus based on eligibility. 36 hours per week, shift 12 hours nights. Employment type: Staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical patient care.
• Assume responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis and at the unit level.
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
• Support the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care; maintain competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
• Provide high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective total nursing care to all patients.
• Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Perform and fulfill all Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster.
• Be knowledgeable of the hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adhere to the hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
• Perform related duties as required.

Requirements

• Education: Graduated from a state‑approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
• Certification: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
• CPR certification.
