Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for the Medical/Surgical IU Oncology unit. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with a 07:00–19:00 schedule on weekdays and every third weekend, plus a rotating holiday schedule.

Join a fast-paced, collaborative team delivering high-quality oncology care. The ideal candidate will hold an accredited nursing program credential and a state RN license, with BLS certification and American Heart Association standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• American Heart Association certification (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic nursing care in accordance with standards and policies.
• Lead efforts to create a safe patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.

0700-1900 weekdays with every 3rd weekend mandatory rotation and rotating Holiday schedule

Pay Range:

$38.20 - $57.30

Where You Will Work:

Join our dynamic and collaborative Medical Oncology Unit, an 18-bed acute care environment specializing in the care of patients undergoing oncology treatment. Our team provides high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

Primary Patient Population:

• Oncology patients
• Comfort Care / End of Life / Hospice / Palliative Care patients

Primary Patient Population:

• General medical/surgical patients requiring acute care

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the
• American Heart Association

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
