Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is launching an 11-bed High Acuity Progressive Care Unit (HAU) in early 2026, seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a brand-new team. The role involves nights, 7:00pm–7:00am, 36 hours per week, with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced, clinically challenging environment.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care, coordinate patient plans, and uphold safety and quality standards while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Maintain a safe environment and communicate to enhance patient experience.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

• Add additional preferred qualifications

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
