Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Georgia is looking for a compassionate RN to join the Medical Oncology Unit (18-bed acute care) delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care. You will coordinate patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Shifts are nights 7p–7a, 3–12 hour shifts per week, full-time with rotating holidays and weekends. This role supports oncology, hospice and general medical/surgical patients in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.

Join our dynamic and collaborative Medical Oncology Unit, an 18-bed acute care environment specializing in the care of patients undergoing oncology treatment. Our team provides high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

Primary Patient Population:

• Oncology patients
• Comfort Care / End of Life / Hospice / Palliative Care patients

Primary Patient Population:

• General medical/surgical patients requiring acute care

We're Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You'll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
