The Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, offers nursing roles focused on trauma-informed care within a leading behavioral health setting in Connecticut. Nurses participate in assessment, treatment planning, medication management and patient education, collaborating with clinicians to deliver comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; new grads welcome.
• Successful completion of nurse residency upon hire, if applicable.
• CT RN license required upon starting.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Must be able to effectively communicate information in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, develops treatment plans, and administers medications.
• Provide patient education and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Contribute to trauma-informed care and uphold high-quality standards in patient care.

Our dedicated and skilled treatment team provides patients and their families with the highest quality of personalized care at our facility, set on historic, park-like grounds designed by Frederick Law Ohlmsted. Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with a wide range of behavioral health issues.

Job Summary

We provide holistic, quality trauma informed care for our specialized patient population. Nursing duties include assessment, treatment planning, medication management and patient education, while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
