Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Behavioral Crisis Unit – “Purple Pod” at The Institute of Living. You will deliver holistic trauma-informed care, including assessment, treatment planning, medication management and patient education, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

New grads are welcome; CT RN license is required on start, BLS certification, CPI crisis training preferred, and English communication is essential (Spanish a plus).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; new grads welcome.
• CT RN license required prior to starting.
• Certified BLS Provider from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with CPI’s Crisis Development Model preferred.
• Strong English communication; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, trauma-informed nursing care in the Acute Behavioral Crisis Unit.
• Perform assessment, develop treatment plans and manage medications.
• Educate patients and collaborate with the care team for comprehensive care.

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Behavioral Crisis Unit – “Purple Pod”, you will provide holistic, quality trauma informed care for our specialized patient population. Nursing duties include assessment, treatment planning, medication management and patient education, while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing - new grads welcome!
• Successful completion of nurse residency upon hire, if applicable.
• CT RN license required upon starting
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience with CPI’s Crisis Development Model
• Must be able to effectively communicate information in English.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred, medical translator certification available
