Premise offers a wide range of dynamic, purpose-driven career opportunities. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our team near Statesville, NC.

  • 36 Hours per Week! Great Work/Life Balance!
  • Tuesday - Thursday, 5:00 P.M. - 2:00 A.M. and Friday, 5:00 P.M. - 1:00 A.M.
  • Previous ER experience preferred

Essential Functions
  • Assure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations.
  • Provide or manage the required physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory requirements; such as OSHA, Department of Transportation, CDC, etc.
  • Use nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
  • Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses efficiently and professionally within the scope of practice and clinical nursing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Physician or other Licensed Independent Practitioner to arrange for further medical treatment when needed.
  • Collaborate with outside resources for program development, such as healthcare providers, third-party administrators, legal advisors, medical director, regulatory agencies, etc.
  • Perform occupational and health screening tests as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
  • Conduct appropriate laboratory tests and quality control procedures.
  • Administer the company’s Drug-Free Workplace Program.
  • Assist with the accident investigation program to identify root causes of incidents and near misses.
  • Assess healthcare needs, implement, and manage healthcare programs to improve health, facilitate return to work, maintain OSHA records/reports, and worker medical files.
  • Assist departments with identifying, evaluating, and implementing accommodations and return-to-work options for workers with restricted duties.
  • Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety, Operations, and Human Resources to develop operations, programs, and services by providing content expertise.
  • Contribute to the design of controls for injury prevention and health surveillance related to hazards in the work environment.
  • Identify primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and health promotion strategies to optimize population health.
  • Document accurately all elements of nursing assessments, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
  • Identify emergency situations and provide care within legal scope of practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments competently as directed by a Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner.
  • Maintain medical records using Electronic Medical Record software.
  • Identify equipment needing repair and report to the lead clinician.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment following infection control procedures.
  • Protect patient privacy and confidential information.
  • Participate in follow-up phone calls and patient visits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice required.
  • Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required.
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred.
  • At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or ambulatory care setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of Internet, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
