Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Registered Nurse for night-shift coverage (6pm–6am) across our Iowa skilled nursing communities. You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, monitor patients, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an Iowa RN license, CPR certification, and a solid understanding of long-term care regulations. Join us to deliver compassionate care with empathy and professionalism in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing for Iowa or ability to activate.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Empathy, respect, patience and discretion in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other team members to promote teamwork.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care to meet clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
