About This Role

Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for their Rehabilitation Department. This role is ideal for new graduates looking to provide compassionate care while developing their nursing skills.

Highlights

• Pay: $37 - $55/hour
• Location: Silver Spring, MD
• Facility: Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift (6:45pm - 7:15am, three shifts/week)

What You'll Do

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties appropriately.
• Develop a plan of care according to the patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current Maryland State nursing license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
