Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Ada, OK is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shift in Behavioral Health. The nurse will provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision, coordinate care with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualified candidates have an ADN/ Diploma/ BSN, an active RN license, and BLS certification. Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, and others may be required depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing with RN licensure.
• Active RN license.
• BLS certification (AHA) or within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM or other unit certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for psychiatric patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions.
• Provide patient and family education to support understanding of treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Promote safety by implementing de-escalation strategies, crisis intervention, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Oversee nursing staff.

Mercy hospital is seeking an experiencedbehavioral health nurse to join the team in Ada, OK. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Active RN license
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
