Job summary

BlueRidge Vista is seeking an Overnight Psychiatric RN to lead patient care and ensure safety during the night shift. You’ll oversee assessments, administer medications, and coordinate with on‑call leadership in a quieter but critical setting.

We value 2+ years of psychiatric/behavioral health leadership and a proven track record in improving quality, patient experience, and team engagement. This is a full-time overnight role with comprehensive benefits and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Complete ongoing patient assessments and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and manage overnight treatment plans.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment through consistent monitoring.
• Lead nursing care and support staff during overnight hours.
• Coordinate with providers and on-call leadership as needed.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately.

Night shift RNs provide essential leadership when patients need stability most. In this Overnight Psychiatric RN role, you’ll oversee patient care, ensure safety, and make critical clinical decisions in a quieter—but no less important—setting.
