Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is hiring a day shift, full-time Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ. The RN will care for NICU patients, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, and report to the Nurse Manager.

Requirements include NJ RN licensure, graduation from an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program, BLS within 14 days of hire, and NRP Certification or ARC. 1–2 years NICU or SCN nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with New Jersey Board of Nursing licensure.
• Graduate of NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• NRP Certification or American Red Cross (ARC) required.
• 1-2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes.
• Direct and oversee the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinate patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Reports to the Nurse Manager.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification or the American Red Cross (ARC)
• 1-2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Neonatal Nursing certification

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
