Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking a day shift, full-time NICU Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ. You will provide specialized neonatal care and lead a team to coordinate patient management in a fast-paced NICU.

Qualified candidates have NJ RN licensure, 1–2 years NICU/Special Care Nursery experience, and BLS; NRP/ARC certification is required. Comprehensive benefits are offered and salary is competitive.

Get to Know Your Team:

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities:

• The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification or the American Red Cross (ARC)
• 1-2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Neonatal Nursing certification

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
