Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center seeks a day shift, full-time NICU Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ. The RN provides direct patient care for neonates, coordinates care with the health team, and supports families during hospitalization.

Qualified candidates hold NJ RN license, active BLS, and NICU/SCN experience; NRP/ARC certification preferred. Salary commensurate with experience and education.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• NRP Certification or ARC required.
• 1-2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience.
• Neonatal Nursing certification preferred.
• Rate of pay determined by experience and education; differentials and call pay may apply.

Responsibilities

• The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position coordinates patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification or the American Red Cross (ARC).
• 1-2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience.
• Preferred Job Requirements: Neonatal Nursing certification.
• Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
