Job summary

Westwood, NJ – Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center seeks a day shift, full-time NICU Registered Nurse to join our inpatient team.

You will provide specialized neonatal care, collaborating with physicians and support staff under the Nurse Manager, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and family-centered care. Must be an NJ-licensed RN with 1–2 years NICU experience, BLS current; NRP/ARC preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification or the American Red Cross (ARC).
• 1-2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience.
• Preferred Job Requirements: Neonatal Nursing certification.
• Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.

• The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
