Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, invites an RN to join the Intermediate Care unit, a 24-bed stepdown bridging ICU and medical care. You’ll provide coordinated patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in line with established standards, policies, and procedures.

This role requires an accredited nursing program, an RN license in the state, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, and less than 1 year of RN

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Less than 1 year of RN experience

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Where You Will Work

Intermediate Care is a 24 bed stepdown unit bridging the gap between the intensive care unit and general medical unit that has a patient population with various degrees of pulmonary, neurological, renal, geriatric, and infectious disease processes. Patients receive an increased level of care that requires frequent bedside monitoring.

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Less than 1 year of RN experience
