Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for a stepdown unit that bridges ICU and medical floors. You will monitor patients with diverse pulmonary, neurological, renal and infectious disease needs, delivering coordinated care and leading with clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Greater than 1 year of RN experience (RNs with less than 1 year of RN experience, please apply to postings that include "New Graduate RN" in the title.)

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Intermediate Care is a 24 bed stepdown unit bridging the gap between the intensive care unit and general medical unit that has a patient population with various degrees of pulmonary, neurological, renal, geriatric, and infectious disease processes. Patients receive an increased level of care that requires frequent bedside monitoring.
