Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a progressive care setting. You will assess, plan, administer medications, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include ASN, Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS certifications, and 6+ months of experience; BSN preferred. Evening/night rotations and weekend shifts are included in scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Current Florida RN license.
• 6+ months RN experience; Progressive Care Unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and departments to coordinate and optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and outcomes.

Job Description

Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.


• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.


• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.


• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.


• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing


• Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse


• Six (6) months or more of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in a Progressive Care Unit


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification


• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification


• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)


• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures


• Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing


• One (1) or more years of Registered Nurse experience in a Progressive Care Unit

Pay Range: $31.85 - $52.76
