Job summary

AdventHealth in Minneola, FL is seeking a dedicated RN for full-time day shifts to join our acute care team. You will assess patients comprehensively, develop care plans, administer therapies, educate families, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires an ADN, RN license, and BLS; 1+ year of acute care experience preferred. Relocation and sign-on bonuses may be available.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitor for adverse reactions, and document outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Coordinate with medical staff and ancillary departments to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families, and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Respond promptly to code situations and provide necessary interventions.
