Qualifications

• RN licensure and active nursing license.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days for certain units; PALS within 90 days for pediatric care.
• ONCC/ONS or Sentara-approved oncology provider card within 6 months for Oncology Care roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care and assessments.
• Design and implement individualized care plans and administer medications.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes with appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments and post-discharge care.
• Document care according to regulatory and organizational standards.
