Job summary

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, with a 3:00pm–3:00am shift, in a Magnet-designated facility focused on safety, quality and compassionate care.

Experience in emergency care is preferred; nurses will join a purpose-driven team serving rural Northeastern North Carolina and benefit from a supportive environment and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Registered Nursing License (Required).
• BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to ED patients.
• Collaborate with ED team to coordinate patient flow and care.
• Ensure patient safety, quality outcomes, and documentation.
