Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the 7 West Medical Surgical Unit in accordance with standards and protocols.

• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and intervene appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to maintain a safe environment.
• Adhere to infection control standards and promote patient safety.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced nursing staff.
