Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Unit - Day Shift

ChristianaCare Hospital is seeking an RN to work in our 6B Medical Unit. This position requires the candidate to work 3–12-hour day shifts (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) with weekend and holiday requirements.

As a medical nurse, you will engage in a relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients, their families, and your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.

Unit

6B is a 40-bed medical inpatient unit providing acute medical care 24/7. It accommodates patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia, syncope, diabetes management, COPD, and altered mental status. The patient population includes adults 18 years and older, with conditions ranging from good to fair. Patients are received from emergency departments, ICUs, step-down units, and transferred from doctors’ offices or discharged home.

Education & Experience:

• RN license in Delaware or a Compact state
• BSN preferred or a commitment to obtain one within 3 years of hire
• At least one year of med/surg RN experience
• BLS certification required

Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, twist, handle, stoop, bend, and climb as per Physical Demands Checklist.

Working Conditions:
