Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse for a post-surgical Med/Surg Oncology unit. The role offers part-time availability and NICHE-certified care environment with 10 large private rooms.

You will deliver skilled nursing care, assess patient conditions, and develop care plans while coordinating with the nursing team and families to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required; oncology RN experience strongly preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN; BLS for Healthcare providers required upon completion of 90 days.
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required or OCN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across routine to highly complex needs.
• Assess evolving patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
• Collaborate with other nursing team members to coordinate interventions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
