Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical PCU – Full-time, 7P

High acuity Medical PCU department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location:

Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours:

Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hour shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Department highlights:
  • 28-bed Medical PCU department
  • Intermediate level of care for a wide variety of medical patients at a 3:1 patient to nurse ratio
  • Patient diagnoses include: diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), respiratory compromise requiring specialized equipment such as continuous respiratory interventions, home ventilation systems, and tracheostomy care, multi-system organ failure, respiratory distress, sepsis, hematology, GI bleeds, renal/liver failure, acid-base and electrolyte imbalances, and cardiac abnormalities
  • Medication management includes continuous and titratable IV medications for the intermediate care population
  • MAGNET designation
  • Level I Trauma Center
  • Primary Heart Attack Center (PHAC)
  • The department values high-performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills
