Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical ICU to provide expert critical care and coordinated patient management.

In this 32-bed unit, you will use evidence-based nursing processes to deliver safe, high-quality care for patients with complex pulmonary, renal, infectious, and multi-system illnesses, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS are required within 6 months of hire.
• 1-2 years RN experience preferred.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical ICU

Where You Will Work

The Medical ICU is an adult 32-bed unit overseeing the care of critically ill patients of all kinds including but not limited to pulmonary disorders and infections, end-stage renal disease, gastrointestinal bleeds, sepsis, etc. One 24-bed unit with a nursing station between each 2-patient assignment. One 8-bed open-bay unit with a nursing station facing eight semi-private rooms. MICU nurses are experienced in managing the treatment of critically ill patients with complex illnesses which are simultaneously affecting various body systems.

Expectations We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
