Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical ICU. The MICU is a high-acuity 32-bed unit caring for critically ill patients with complex conditions, requiring coordinated teamwork and evidence-based care.

You will be part of a national Advocate Health system and must have an accredited nursing program, RN license in NC, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and 1–2 years ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS are required within 6 months of hire.
• 1-2 years RN experience preferred.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU

Where You Will Work:

The Medical ICU is an adult 32-bed unit overseeing the care of critically ill patients of all kinds including but not limited to pulmonary disorders and infections, end-stage renal disease, gastrointestinal bleeds, sepsis, etc. One 24-bed unit with a nursing station between each 2-patient assignment. One 8-bed open-bay unit with a nursing station facing eight semi-private rooms. MICU nurses are experienced in managing the treatment of critically ill patients with complex illnesses which are simultaneously affecting various body systems.

Expectations We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
• 1-2 years RN experience preferred
