Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical ICU. This adult 32-bed unit cares for critically ill patients with complex multi-system needs.

You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, uphold standards and policies, and contribute to a safe, healing environment. BLS and ACLS within 6 months are required; 1–2 years of RN experience preferred.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU

Where You Will Work

The Medical ICU is an adult 32-bed unit overseeing the care of critically ill patients of all kinds including but not limited to pulmonary disorders and infections, end-stage renal disease, gastrointestinal bleeds, sepsis, etc. One 24-bed unit with a nursing station between each 2-patient assignment. One 8-bed open-bay unit with a nursing station facing eight semi-private rooms. MICU nurses are experienced in managing the treatment of critically ill patients with complex illnesses which are simultaneously affecting various body systems.

Expectations We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
• 1-2 years RN experience preferred

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
