Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Tele CWR

A reputable hospital has an immediate need for Registered Nurses in Med Surg/Tele CWR.

Type: 13+ week Contract

Schedule: 6:45 PM - 7:30 AM

Location: New Jersey

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Responsibilities include:

1. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.
2. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
3. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments.
4. Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
5. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
6. Manages care of patients.
7. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
8. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
9. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

Requirements

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• ASN Required & BSN Preferred
• 3 years of Telemetry experience required.
• BLS must be AHA.
• NIHSS required.
• CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours.
• Telemetry certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required.
• Must have a strong MS/Tele background.
