Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic clinical setting. You will assess patients, plan and implement individualized care, administer medications, and educate families while collaborating with the care team to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with BLS, an Associate's Degree (BSN preferred), and recent acute care experience.

Qualifications

• RN license required

• BLS CPR certification required
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust them based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions and outcomes in the medical record.

Job Description:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

• Associate’s of Nursing [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
