Job summary

Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, OH seeks a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Stepdown unit (3E). The RN plans, provides, and directs patient care, collaborates with physicians and families, and may participate in committees.

Requires Ohio nursing license and current CPR/BLS; ACLS within 90 days of hire. Experience in medical/surgical nursing is required, and the nurse will orient new staff and ensure age-appropriate care.

REGISTERED NURSE

POSITION SUMMARY:
A professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and teaching, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. They act as a liaison between physicians, patient and family, and collaborates with other health care members. Theyassist in the orientation process of new personnel, and may participate in health center and department committees. The staff nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age groups according to specific chronological age, developmental age, and/or psycho-social maturity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by Ohio State Board of Nursing.

Required length of experience:
Previous medical/surgical experience as a registered nurse is required.

Required licensure, certification, and/or registry:
Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
CPR, BLS required and ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
