Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg/Oncology unit. This 24-bed unit is hybrid from an acuity perspective, offering both Med/Surg and Progressive Level care.

You will work collaboratively with a great team, delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. Schedule features two twelve-hour day shifts per week (0700-1930) with every third weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license in Indiana (NLC).
• 6–9 months of oncology background training if not; strong communication and teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent team skills.
• Compassionate and caring; accountable and self-directed.
• EPIC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• The RN will work collaboratively with a great team in a 24-bed Med/Surg/Oncology unit with a hybrid acuity model.
• Provide patient-centered care consistent with professional standards and nursing leadership.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Demonstration of performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of Community Health Network; demonstration of skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources.

• Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• 6-9 months of training will be required for applicants without an Oncology background
