Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a registered nurse on a 36-hour-per-week schedule at Navicent Health Medical Center on the 8 Main Medical/Surgical floor. Qualifications

• Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation for patients.
• Active participant in decisions related to patient care and nursing practice; demonstrates commitment to quality care, safety and collaboration.
• Leads planning, organizing, delegating and evaluating patient care rendered by LPNs, technicians and staff.

8 Mainis a 35 bed medical-surgical nursing floor with telemetry monitoring.

This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible.

Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:5, but may be 1:6 at times.

Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation for patients served. As an active participant in decisions related to patient care and nursing practice, serves as educator, colleague, researcher, advocate and leader. Must demonstrate competency in assuring quality care, Process Improvement, patient and employee safety, collaboration, consultation and professional development. Assumes responsibility for planning, organizing, delegating and evaluating patient care rendered by LPNs, technicians, Medical Receptionists and other staff.
