Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a Night shift, full-time Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in Tulsa, OK. The role delivers comprehensive patient care using the nursing process and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or Diploma RN with an active or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS within required timeframes. Minimum six months of nursing experience is preferred, with BSN preferred for advanced opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or Diploma RN from an accredited school.
• Current RN license or compact license as deemed by state board.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS within 60 days of hire.
• PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Six months nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for medical-surgical patients per clinical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and outcomes.
• Serve as a resource during orientation and as directed.
• Support the organization’s mission and vision.
• Apply patient age and cultural considerations to care delivery.
• Contribute to quality care via performance-improvement initiatives.

Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN:

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for medical/surgical patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Job Requirements:

• Associate's in nursing (ADN) or Diploma RN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN License or Compact License, as deemed by the OK State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
• Six months previous nursing experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelors in nursing (BSBN) from an accredited school of nursing.
