Job summary

Sherman Oaks Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe patient care in the Medical/Surgical Unit during night shifts. You will apply the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and collaborate with physicians.

Requires current California RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and preference for Acute Care experience and BSN. Competitive total rewards include retirement plan, health/dental/vision, tuition

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, diagnostic results and treatment response.
• Maintain standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• 4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• 5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• 6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $40.41 to $69.32. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
