Job summary

Spring Creek Care Center in Millcreek, Utah, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for weekend shifts (6p-10p). You will provide nursing care, administer medications, document treatments, and collaborate with a supportive team in a geriatric setting.

Ideal candidates hold an active Utah RN license, can read and interpret clinical information in English, and can perform the physical requirements of the role. Prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current active RN license in Utah.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific information in English.
• Full range of body motion, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in long‑term geriatric nursing care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer and document medications, tests, treatments and IV lines.
• Record time spent on treatments per policy on the medication/treatment record.
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals.
• Notify physician of refusals, non‑compliance, or adverse reactions.
• Keep medication cart, refrigerator and room neat and organized.
• Assist in orientation and training of new nursing personnel.
• Practice infection control, universal precautions and safety policies.

What you'll do:

• Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines
• Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/trea tment record
• Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resi dent response to medication regime with prompt notification to the phys ician of any adverse reactions
• Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly/disposing
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required
• Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for:

• Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients
• Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift/push/pull 50lbs
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
• Experience in long term geriatric nursing care preferred
