Job summary

Riverside Hospital in Smithfield, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the Director of Nursing in delivering high-quality resident care. The role involves planning, implementing, and coordinating nursing services to achieve positive resident outcomes while maintaining dignity and safety.

You will assign duties, develop care plans, document changes, and collaborate with providers, residents, and families. Weekend and irregular shifts with call rotation are required.

• Develops, implements and evaluates resident plans of care. Communicates plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff. Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process. Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes. Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills. Demonstrates the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.

Hiring Range

$34.40 - $47.30/Hourly

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable. Assesses, plans, implements, and executes delivery of resident care and directs all activities in order to provide quality service to assure positive resident outcomes. Maintains close contact with residents, families and staff while coordinating nursing services with all other disciplines.
