Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Frisco in Frisco, TX is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN to plan, direct, and coordinate nursing care for labor, delivery, and recovery patients.

The role requires a Texas RN license, BLS, NRP and ACLS with orientation timelines; a minimum of 2 years on an L&D unit; and offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

You will work to ensure safety and quality in patient care and support adolescents to middle-aged adults.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least 2 years of experience as an RN in the hospital setting on an L/D unit.
• RN licensure, current in the State of Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification is required within 90 days of employment and prior to completing orientation.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 90 days of employment and before completing orientation.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Job description

This position has a $15,000 Sign-on bonus.

The RN is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and implementing all nursing care services for the labor, delivery, and recovery patient in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. The RN ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care to maintain compliance with professional nursing, Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for patients of all ages, from adolescents to middle-aged adults.
