Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery in Frisco, TX.

The RN will plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement all nursing care for labor, delivery, and recovery in a manner that meets accepted standards of care. The RN must ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care to maintain compliance with professional nursing standards, the Joint Commission, and all Federal and State requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in an hospital setting on an L&D unit.
• RN licensure in Texas; BLS; NRP and ACLS required within 90 days.
• Strong communication skills and nursing judgment; ability to prioritize and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement all nursing care services for labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Ensure the highest quality and safe patient care; maintain compliance with professional nursing standards and Joint Commission requirements.
• Care for patients across ages from adolescents to middle adults.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• GNs will be considered for an L&D internship on a case-by-case basis.
• RN licensure, current in the State of Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification is required within 90 days of employment and before completing orientation.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within 90 days of employment and before completing orientation.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
