Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery in Carlsbad, NM. This night-shift assignment supports antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal care across a 13-week contract at Carlsbad Medical Center.

Start: ASAP. Requires ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE and 2+ years L&D experience. Travel duties include nights, 6:30p-7am, with no floating or calls required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years L&D experience required.

• Strong clinical and leadership skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetrical care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages.

• Delegate and supervise assigned staff and patient priorities.

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing during the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phase of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Number of beds in unit: 1 Triage, 3 Labor, 4 Post-Partum

No floating required

No call required

Scrubs = Any color scrubs - full uniform, no t-shirts/hoodies & only undershirts to be worn under scrub top.
